Indoor Capacity Error Troubleshooting Checklist
- On multi-zone systems, indoor capacity errors indicate that the condenser cannot communicate with one or more indoor units. The indoor flashing the capacity error code is the normal working unit. It's the other indoor units that that have the problem. Most likely these downed units will be flashing a communication error code or in some cases, no LEDs will be on at all. For help troubleshooting communication errors click here.
- Check total capacity of all connected indoor units to make sure you are not under or over capacity. To download a copy of Multi-Zone Allowable Combinations list, see attached file.
- When the communication error is solved with the other units (not flashing the capacity error) the indoor capacity error code will stop flashing and normal operation will resume.
