Discharge Temperature Error Troubleshooting Checklist
- Pull disconnect for 5 minutes, code should reset and disappear, if it does not, ohm out discharge thermistor.
- Place gauges on unit and put the system into cooling, high fan, 64 degrees and Test-Run. Check running suction pressures. (Low side)
- If pressures are significantly below 110 / 130 PSI it is likely the system is either low on charge and/or has a leak somewhere.
- Turn power off to the disconnect and recover the charge and with the charge removed from the system, check for restrictions and blow high pressure Nitrogen throughout the condenser, piping, and evaporator.
- If no restrictions found, pressurize the condenser up to 600 PSI and with soap and bubbles spray for leaks on the condenser coil, flare nuts, U-bends, etc. Leak detecting can be performed with an electronic leak detector however, it is a less effective method than soap and bubble testing.
- Wherever leaks are found that part must be replaced. Ex. leaks found on the condenser coil, U-bends, flare nuts, or 2-way / 3-way valves, etc. must be replaced.
- While the power is off to the system, it is a good practice to ohm out the electronic expansion valve (EEV). To locate where the EEV is located for the model in question, refer to the Service Manual which contains details wiring diagrams and schematics. Instructions on how to ohm the EEV out can be found here.
- If no leaks are found from leak detecting reweigh in the factory charge keeping in mind that you must accommodate for an added pipe length if longer than what the factory charge covers. Refer to the model in question's Installation Manual for calculations on how much refrigerant to add per foot of added length.

Does the 10 x operation & 1 x timer also apply to model ASTG09KUCA?
We are seeing this error occur periodically on our indoor unit. Disconnecting power (via the fuse box) fixes it for a few days or so, but then the error returns. We are using the unit for heating at the moment (we're in the southern hemisphere, which is terribly cold right now!).

Olá Amigo minha evaporadora é a ASBG24JFBC e condensadora é AOBG24JFCC esta apresentando o mesmo codigo de erro 10x 1x. no aplicativo nos apresenta soluções porem em ingles o que faço?
Issue with a slim duct ARU18RLFCD system that gives the A1 error every 2-3 months.
Checked for leaks every time and reweigh but the issues keeps coming back.
The system must be leaking as the charge is low when checked but it can't be found.
Could some faulty component be discharging some refrigerant?
Any suggestions ?

Hello, Im getting a discharge temp error on a ASU12RL2 indoor unit that's matched with a AOU12RL2 Outdoor unit when running in heat mode. Ive found on the website what the possible problems could be but I cant find a service manual for this models anywhere. I installed this unit over a yr and half ago and its the only one of this model ive installed. so Im not too familiar working on this model as far as location of thermistors and wiring. Is there a manual I can download ? Also when looking at part number for the discharge thermistor, it looks like its a thermistor assy part number 9900628000 is this correct ? Thanks Steve
