Has anyone figured out how to connect an Aprilaire 800 humidifier to a Fujitsu AMUG30LMAS air stage? My hvac contract said it can be done, but I find that very surprising. I can't find the traditional heat and fan signals that the humidifier control requires.
Hi Chris! Apology on the delay… there is a humidifier output for the AMUG, however its active ONLY when there is an active call for heat (compressor ON). This is intended for evaporative type units, however the model you mentioned is a steam generating type, thus does not require heat operation. Understood, the humidifier must NOT operate in the cool mode, but humidification should be able to occur when the system is not active calling for heat. We cannot turn the AMUG fan ON upon a demand for humidification, but there are options for your application.
